Overview
We are here to ensure that no-one in Guildford and surrounding villages goes hungry. Based on our Christian values, we want to serve those in need in Guildford, with food support, fuel support, a friendly ear and signposting to services that can help move those in need away from food crisis. We are extremely grateful to St Clare’s Church who continue to provide us with space to store food and to greet our clients.
We provide food parcels, support and advice for electricity and gas bills, a listening ear and signposting.
We couldn’t do any of this work without our amazing donors; local schools, churches, clubs, including Guildford Lions who contribute weekly to our fresh food offering and individuals, who donate food and necessities directly to us or drop off points at local supermarkets. We also receive financial donations and these cover our running costs and parcel contents.
Our parcels are made up of a 50:50 split between donations in kind and purchased products. We spend around £1,800 per week on food, toiletries and household cleaning supplies. This balance allows us to effectively manage our stock levels.
