Our volunteers

We currently have 115 volunteers from all different backgrounds; students, retired, employed, self-employed, not working or seeking work. People volunteer primarily because they would like to help those in their community, but also for company, structure to the week, a sense of purpose and much more.

Our volunteers carry out a huge range of roles:

  • Sorting donations and supermarket orders

  • Packing food parcels

  • Meeting and listening to clients in our cafe

  • Delivering food parcels to those who can’t travel to us

  • Maintaining our IT systems

  • Organising volunteer rotas

  • Signposting and referring clients for further support

  • Administration tasks

  • Overseeing the governance of our charity as Trustees
